welcome to be individualized graduation plan in other words known as in i g p presentation my name is Miss Rivera academic counselor at LAUSD usma the purpose of objectives of this presentation are as follows first to acquire knowledge of the purpose of an IGG and understanding the student data in a night which will include academic data testing data attendance data and academic intervention here we see a sample of a middle school igp your child's my look different based on the courses that they have completed at the top right-hand corner of your child's education you will find the student identification information which includes the students first last name their birthday followed by an M4 female asper female which is their student district ID number and the braids that are curly and the counselor assigned to the student where's the bottom of that information you will find the recent will your child as attending follow by the the date of birth and language of classification in which we will be reviewing further in this ostentation special education services will be identified by an N or no if there are no special education services or a y if they are the first singer that we're going to look at is the academics we will find the subject or sis Tata to school the course is completed for every student and a semester of course I did number of a courses completed grade level when the course was completed the final marks for those horses and the credit given to those horses the last column of the academic session include the in progress grades which of the courses the students currently taken in the subject area on the left side of the igp you will find or will assign by subject areas such as social science in also known as history English math science physical GPA which is a cumulative GPA equals every final grade in Middle School that's calculated into the student's GPA I like the middle call GPA semester GPA is only a break. So this reflects only the last report card that the student has received those grades are calculated for a semester GPA again that would be the last progress report card grade that the student hydrostat respect class rank class ran we have two areas we have campus ran in school in our case it will be the same for school because of students are on the same campus in same school for their instruction so that will that number will I be identified as the same number Middle School ring is all the GPA that the students have received in that grade level for example if we have a hundred seventh graders we would tally each one of those GPS and then tally them up from highest to lowest for all the years completed so the student who has a rank of one would mean that that student has a GPA which is the highest of everyone in there list of master rank again is only reflective of the progress report card great and it only tell Lisa the last report card and where the student compares to others as we will see you in the next sample so here we see a middle school GPA the student perhaps that is a 6th 7th or 8th grader and they have been nauseous at least it's a mess have instruction so their GPA based on their grades to 3.7 now their semester grade is different this semester GPA is different because perhaps on them or card maybe they had another be an extra be so it's just a little bit lower than the Middle School remember Middle School compresses the grace that have been completed in all of the middle school years final grade the semester grade is only the the grade that was on the last report card and that's been challenging to a GPA class rank this middle class rankings currently how many students are in the grade level so for example let's say there's a 95 8th graders currently Soul compared to all those students in the class this student's GPA ranks 20th which means the studious one through 19 have a higher GPA than the student but students 21 295 have a lower GPA so when it comes to GPA the higher the number the better when it comes to Rand you want your child to run within the first 30 or one through 30 of their class being within that group of course if a student is first class this would be a 1 95 students and a student would have the highest GPA overall for their group or their class their grade level this is identifies the same information perhaps you Tuesday the 95 has changed 94 here in this instance to might be that when the school started there were 95 8th graders when then the last report card maybe the tether the 15 came out by that time we a student had moved left and it was down to 94 the difference in the rank is not the student's GPA on their last report card was a 38 that means that students 1 through 30 and scored a higher GPA on that report card year 1 through 19 the students reported a higher GPA based on all the grades in Middle School are we have an academic data grade point average of a current 6th grader you will not find a middle school GPA because they haven't completed and is the Masters as of yet it would complete the first semester in December that's why you don't see any ranking for Middle School which is a cumulative GPA there's nothing to report because no semester has been completed when we look at the message this identifies a GPA based on the last report card as mentioned before and based on the last report card at a 78 6th graders the student's GPA ranks Dem Atlas 68 means that students one through 67 had a higher GPA than he or she did but students 6978 had a lower GPA again you want to class rank your students 30 of their class 1 through 34 1 through 25 and the GPA you always wanted to be at a 3.0 or above to be College ready testing data this section is right below academic data we have type of test the students have taken in these states has required tests their scores and the day the date that the test was last taken we will be information based on the stealth test the PFT test and the S back test in this section the stealth are California English language development is an assessment of where students proficient in that what's the name of standard the test is administered to any student from grades K through 12 who have the Homeland language other than English upon entering the school or the district and I'll in the couple of years ago 2018 given to students in grades 5 7 and 9 there are 6 test components to this test aerobic capacity extensor strength and flexibility body composition upper body strength and endurance and abdominal strength and endurance flexibility the student is considered to be within the Healthy Fitness if 5 of this area are past or completed do we have samples of what the testing data section my look for English language arts or for the S back in the math and the last section we see here just as back Ela and math results there are no maybe the student is not it's only an English only student and a half they never did take the physical fitness test they might have been absent on the day that it was taken the fit physical fitness this is a test administered through their PE class and it's administered Again by seventh and Ninth Grade between the months of February and may are very the smarter balanced assessment Consortium RS back it says disc estate test and minister to students in grades three to eight and 11th grade has an English language and math component and their numerical words that are translated to or different levels the lowest level is standard was not met the second standard exceeded where they need to be based on their grade level because the igp only has American information or the results for the S back there is a chart that is useful in identifying whether the student not mad nearly mad matter exceeded my expectation you would look at the gray level when the student took the test and then form based on their score you would look it up in the charge and then it would all determine for you if the student does the test requirements or not and this is just an example of one testing data that I has all of these for all of these three examples this one only have the two and we're moving on to the attendance data here you will see that the district goal is of 96% it identifies the days present or whole days hernia that means of the whole day that the student was present at school and then the day as possible of the current year followed by the days absent these are whole days after lunch and then. Absent day started and the attendance rate let's look at an example so for example here we have a 68 days possible of school school hasn't been been in session for 68 days out of the 68 days the student was absent three days so they were present 65 of those days and when we present is at the student is physically campus on class and that's why it shows 30 days absent three days the student was not on campus and then we have. Dobson this is where you can get a little bit challenging depends on the day the student was absent so based on this well this student was absent on either Tuesday through Friday day we'll each day you only need four. So if they were absent on a Tuesday they missed or. Wednesday for Thursday or Friday for so 4 * 3 would equal the. They were absent both. During those three days if one of those periods would have a Monday it was gives me one of those days would have been a Monday the. After would be hired because I'm Monday students have nine classes they have their eggs plus advisory which would be nice and that say they were absent on a Tuesday Wednesday that would be 4 4/8 and 9 with this number would be 17 but if the student was absent three months in a row or you know I just Mondays alone you would multiply 3 by 9 because those other.
